Biografía

Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My earliest artistic connection comes from memories of my mother’s wooden dried color palette standing on her easel, an inheritance of her love for painting, before she passed away at an early age. I also watched my dad spending many evenings drawing and designing purses for his leather shop. In my childhood, I did spend many weekends plying among plants, flowers, bees and the natural world which I call home.

I can honestly say that I am a natural artist who went to architecture university for a couple of years, studied pottery and photography but never had a formal artistic education. A workshop in San Miguel de Allende opened my interest in the medium of cold wax and oils that kept me exploring this sculpting medium until today.

The mixing of cold wax and oils fascinates me as a technique that opens many possibilities of exploration. Allowing me to play intuitively with shapes, colors, lines and textures often intertwined with other mediums, it steers in me a space of calm reflection as being guided by musical composition notes, coming together in a symphony.

Some of the techniques I used lend themselves to very spontaneous approaches, where special characters and themes appear in magical ways. Other times care analysis of how to make a composition takes my eyes in a more planing observation with defined intention and intuitive strokes that are combined, revealing each piece in its own unique expression.

One of the most compelling influences for my work, comes from my fascination with archaeology, like a treasure hunter, I digg deep into the layers of each piece, as if reaching for ancestral meaning. Most of my work is inspired by my own experiences with the spiritual world and other dimensions of consciousness, which keeps my curiosity hungry for more. My silk pieces are painted with cold wax and oils, adhered to a multimedia linen board, matted and framed. Hope you let youself be transported by my creations.
